I joined the Marine Corps Reserve right out of High School in 2017. I am now a Sargent in the Marines and this has taught me how to be punctual, attentive, and most of all proficient. I am now in charge of 14 marines and have to ensure they are ready on all levels from fitness to knowledge. I am the Combat Marksmanship Trainer for my unit which involved me setting up, planning, and successfully training 103 marines on the rifle range and 30 marines on the pistol range. This involved an immense amount of management and delegation on my part. I then got a full ride scholarship to OU for NROTC to become an officer where I learned that being an officer wasn’t cut out for me. I then went back to my unit and began studying biomedical engineering at UCO while working as an EMT in the hospital and on the ambulance for Saint Anthony’s Midwest in Midwest City. This taught me to keep my cool in any situation. It was after this when I finally figured out my passion. I then began my degree for construction management. I have always wanted to build homes. I started this by going to work for Brookfield custom homes for 1 year as a superintendent. I then went to UBuildIt to work as the planning and bidding phase coordinator (project manager) where I am still currently employed. It was here that I found my calling. I create the budget, do accurate take offs of plans, and red line (edit) those plans to ensure everything is functional and/or up to par with what the customer wants. Bid out their entire project with 3 bids for every category needed. And create a step by step manual for them to follow to create their dream home. Every home I do this for is different. Ranging from a 1200 sqft trailer home style house built with SIPS on 14’ stilts with a draw bridge, to 5000 sq ft luxury homes, to duplexes, Quadplexes, and small apartment buildings. I have knowledge on pricing and the means to bid out very unique options for anything needed or wanted in a persons home. With these skills I know that will not only be a good match for you, but, will rise to any task with one goal in mind. Mission Accomplishment in the most cost effective and proficient manner.
