Expand upon the performance engineering foundation I have built at DTSS and lead onboarding-readiness efforts for Disney’s various business units (BU) onto the Disney ID registration & authentication product. Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Business Analysts on launch targets. Analyze production metrics to obtain accurate mixed case ratios for load tests. Optimize legacy shared services outside the immediate scope of Disney ID to address performance shortfalls of downstream dependencies. Utilize different load test tools based on trust-zone connectivity limitations – CloudTest for internet-facing applications, and BlazeMeter/Jmeter for internal applications. Work closely with the System Engineering group on environment configuration, capacity planning, and test execution. Work closely with Release Management on test environment scheduling, prioritization, and relationship-building with other businesses units.Key Contributions:• Led the 2014 ESPN-onboarding performance readiness effort involving capacity estimation, constraint discovery, constraint resolution, and capacity planning. Optimized HTTP inbound-handler threads with just the right number of JDBC connection limits to reach the start of CPU constraint – ensuring maximum utilization of all deployed resources. Other performance optimizations involve tuning OS ulimit, ephemeral port range, time_wait threshold, Apache PHP module version, Zend vs APC OpCache, JVM heap sizing, Eden to Tenured ratios, and selection of garbage collectors based on hardware layout.• Conducted thorough performance analysis for important onboarding milestones for Disney Infinity web & console games, Disney Movie Anywhere, Star Wars Attack Squadrons, and RunDisney.• Identified key JMX metrics from a myriad of Java applications, and integrated the metrics into SOASTA CloudTest monitors for a single dashboard view of key performance metrics from the front-end to the DB.

Sorted through lines and lines of Windows source code to find networking-specific content: flags, bits and bytes, etc. Created various sequence diagrams, protocol diagrams, and other documentations for non-Windows programmers. Special ownership of media-related protocols such as RTP, RTSP, ASF, WMS. The resulting technical documents are aimed at both the technical licensees as well as non-technical lawyers. The ability to discuss highly technical material in a very readable way is key in this postion. Test, compile, and deploy code drop of enhancements and bug fixes delivered by RedPrairie to ConAgra Foods' various WMS environments. Document end-to-end installation workflow.

RedPrairie (formerly McHugh Software Intl) produces a suite of logistics-efficiency software products that includes Warehouse Management System (WMS), Labor Management System (LMS), Transportation Management System (TMS), and several smaller, related products. As an entry level software engineer involved in the WMS, I part-took multiple maintenance deployments as well as new go-live deployments. As senior software engineer, I spearheaded most of the projects under the guidance of project leaders. Tasks include physically scoping the go-live site, diagramming areas of the warehouse, enter logical locations into the WMS product, and then customizing the WMS code base for the particular customer.
