Daniel Rowland is an eclectic LA-based music producer, tech executive, and educator. He holds both a B.S and M.F.A. in Music Technology, and is currently Head of Strategy and Partnerships at LANDR, co-founder of Audiotool, and longtime instructor at MTSU. With over 12 billion streams and thousands of major label credits, he is ranked as one of the top audio engineers in the world by Jaxsta and Muso. As a technologist, for nearly a decade his primary focus has been on the empowerment of music creators via ethical AI powered tools and accessible design, sharing that message on dozens of panels and podcasts. Daniel has helped grow LANDR to 5 million users, refining their industry-leading creator tools platform, AI mastering engine, plugins and services, while crafting dozens of acquisition and partnerships deals with a wide range of startups and iconic brands/artists. And with Audiotool, to refine their collaborative, browser-based music production environment for their millions of users, while uniting the worlds of competitive gaming and music--most recently via a partnership with ESL/Dreamhack and Eminem producer WLPWR. As a creative, Daniel has produced the music for an Oscar-winning Pixar film (“Piper”); and mixed and mastered multiplatinum/Grammy-nominated projects for artists as varied as Nine Inch Nails, Seal, Jhene Aiko, Phillip Glass, Gwen Stefani, Gayle, Gucci Mane, David Foster, Jason Derulo, Burna Boy, Nina Simone, YG, and Flo Rida, along with dozens of film and game soundtracks for Star Wars, Marvel, Disney, John Wick, and others. Including projects with actors Benedict Cumberbatch (The Simpsons), Jeremy Renner, and Steve Martin (Only Murders In The Building). Most recently, Daniel co-founded Immersive Mixers, focusing on mixing for Dolby Atmos. Daniel has spoken on the present and future of music technology at conferences such as SXSW, MONDO, A3E, NAMM, A3C, and the ASCAP Expo, and is a voting member of the Recording Academy.
