Worked on a particle physics project searching for ways to test the current Standard Model of Particle Physics using Machine Learning.

I worked as a summer intern at IJF PAN, participating in a theoretical particle physics project named 'Geometry of heavy-ion collisions during lepton pair production' under the supervision of Dr Mariola Kłusek-Gawenda. I worked on calculating different cross-section values for the exclusive production of dileptons in ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions. I studied the equivalent photon approximation and used it to successfully describe data from ALICE by using Fortran, C++ and ROOT. At the end of the summer program, my partner and I presented our results in a mini-conference and were voted the third best presentation. After the summer program finished, we extended the project to further develop our results. These were presented at HEP 2021, and pre-prints about our conference proceedings can be found on arXiv/2111.01571 [hep-ph].
