PROFICIENCIES• Prepares patients for exams/procedures: (applies Holter monitors, cardiac stress, prepares for PAP, assists with colposcopy and mole removals,assists with hysterescopy/ polypectomy, LEEP, pap )• Conducts the following POC tests:(blood sugar, urinalysis, pregnancy urine, CBC, FOB, rapid strep, TB, EKGs, spirometry, ear lavage, audiograms and microbiology cultures)• Performs venipunctures as required• Assists in routine preparation, examination and treatment of patients • Prepares and administers oral and parenteral medications and immunizations• Obtains and documents patient health information• Coordinates appointments, lab visits and x-ray scheduling• Obtains preauthorization for procedures• Schedules patients for tests both in and outside the clinic• Enters orders, schedules appointments, prepares charges and returns phone calls• Calls prescriptions in to pharmacy• Cleans, prepares and stocks exam rooms with instruments and supplies• Experience with EMR
