Report directly to the CTO and lead the Saks Technology organization, consisting of 140+ team members, in managing large-scale, complex business initiatives from conception to execution. Drive the development of the long-term vision for the product and technology operations teams and spearhead efforts to build a technological foundation to enable scale, speed, and operational excellence. Maintain strong relationships with executives, clients, and key stakeholders to define project priorities, assess challenges, and achieve aligned outcomes. Lead a high-functioning, successful organization by providing clear vision and open communication.Selected Responsibilities & Accomplishments:Developed the project management function at Saks.com during its separation from its parent company and led the group rebrand from PMO to Technology Strategy & Enablement to reflect new strategic and advisory focus.Implemented Workday for HR, Payroll, and Finance in 6 months in collaboration with the Business Systems team and other stakeholders, including designing the change management approach, communications strategy, and training curriculum. Guided Saks through a subsequent reorganization that brought the four independent technology groups together, leading the newly cohesive organization by establishing best practices and onboarding new team members. Led the annual technology roadmap process by working cross-functionally with business leaders and the finance department to review priorities, increase operational efficiency, and manage the multi-million dollar tech budget.Collaborate with C-level executives to assess various proposals and provide the management team with timely information about project opportunities and risks.Evolve the framework for critical technology leadership meetings, develop all-hands department meetings, and present monthly reports to the executive team to ensure all stakeholders are informed, engaged, and aligned.

Collaborated in the overall strategic technology roadmap for legal operations and managed projects and initiatives for Netflix’s global legal team of ~1000 people. Assessed gaps, configurations, and features of legal technologies to improve overall user experience. Gathered requirements from legal stakeholders and designed solutions to productize knowledge into data. Drove change management strategy and efforts across the legal operations function.

Matured the Legal Technology & Systems function and developed a team to support all legal portfolio systems including contract management, document management, IP/Trademark monitoring, entity management, eDiscovery, and matter management and billing. Developed the legal technology roadmap and assumed responsibility for all legal department technology solutions and related processes.

Led the prioritization, selection, design, and implementation of technology systems based on legal service delivery goals. Liaised between legal, business, and technical teams to analyze and understand system goals and technical requirements, prepare documentation, and act as facilitator. Implemented core technologies such as legal entity management software, an IP/Trademark system, and WeWork’s intranet, WeConnect.

Facilitated workshops and focus groups to gather business requirements, liaising with business stakeholders to gain consensus across offices and managing scope when required. Adopted agile approach to gather requirements, using short iterative sprints to complete design and development cycles and manage change requests. Developed specification documentation using requirement statements, process diagrams, and use cases. Designed UI wireframes or storyboards in UXPin, Balsamiq, Visio, SharePoint and PowerPoint. Acted as the liaison between the business and IS technical teams on designated projects capturing business needs and articulating end-user requirements. Managed small to medium business change projects from initial specification through testing and training.
