Roxana Moișanu started her harp studies at the age of 12, at the “George Enescu” Music High School Bucharest, with prof. Ioana Brustur. She graduated from the National University of Music studying with Ph.D. Ion Ivan Roncea and prof. Elena Ganțolea (chamber music).Laureate of many national harp competitions, Roxana has a rich solo and chamber music activity. Roxana’s first solo concert abroad took place in 1994 at the Romanian Cultural Centre in Paris and in 1997, she was awarded the Excellence Prize of the Interpreters, Choreographers and Musical Experts Union along with the Olympic Prize.In 2002 she had her debut with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Ploiesti performing the Concerto in C major for Flute, Harp and Orchestra by Mozart and recorded for the soundtrack of the movie „Youth without Youth” by Francis Ford Coppola. „Focus on Youth“ Concerts during World Harp Congress in Prague – 1999, „Marcel Tournier Tribute Concert“ during WHC in Geneva – 2002, „Come, sweet love“ at the The Czech Center in Bucharest, the opening of the “Sound of Music” Season at the Concert Hall of the Peleș National Museum (2012).The most important Celtic harp concerts were:„Cantigas de Santa Maria“, during „The Histories and Film Festival in Râșnov“, „Peace Hour“ recitals, a global event promoting world peace, Grand Opening for the Bucharest „House of Arts“, the anniversary concert „Fleur de Lys“, dedicated to the Day of Royalty in Romania.Broadcasting experience includes solo and chamber music playing live on the Cultural Channel of the Romanian Radio Broadcasting Company, Romanian Television Corporation and Trinitas Television.For promoting chamber music, she has worked closely with cellist Mladen Spasinovici, with whom she founded duo Cell’Arpa in April, 2011. The purpose of their duo is to discover, arrange, perform and promote cello and harp music worldwide.Roxana founded the Romanian Harpists Association in 2016, and become co-organiser for the Bucharest Harp Festival.She took several training courses such as: “Copywriting – Creative Business Management”,“The Finance & Project Budget Program in the EU – Eastern Partnership Culture and Creativity”,“Web Design Responsive – HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap4“, „Planning and organising events“.In 2018 she was appointed as official correspondent of Romania and Moldavia, for the World Harp Congress Review. She is also a member of the World Harp Congress, UCMR-ADA, and CREDIDAM.Currently, Roxana Moișanu is Principal Harp of the National Opera Orchestra of Bucharest, where she has been working for over 22 years.
