I am an aspiring sophomore at Sacramento State passionate about the Criminal Justice Department. Ever since I was ten years old, I have developed a mindset and witness that not all the time different races are not treated equally and are given the same opportunities as others. As a young adult, I want to have an opportunity to change that mindset around and fight for those who were not given an opportunity.Throughout the past couple of years, I have developed skills that will help me with my ideal career. For example, the ability to communicate with peers, having to collaborate and share ideas among each other, the opportunity to be bilingual in Spanish and English, having the ability to multi-task and maintain focus while doing two things at once. I have grown within my own self and developed my personality along the way which includes becoming a mentor for younger adults and taking a role of leadership within my own group. Currently, I attend Sacramento State University and major in the Criminal Justice Department to achieve my goal in becoming a lawyer and help those who were not given a fair trial.
