PrimeWest Petroleum Inc. was acquired by TAQA (Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC) and the business name was changed to TAQA North USA, Inc., and subsequently to TAQA USA, Inc.• Led TAQA’s US oil and gas exploration and production business in Montana, North Dakota, and Wyoming, and the US renewables business that included the Lakefield Windfarm in Minnesota, and the Red Oak Tolling Arrangement between New Jersey and New York. • Delivered analysis and recommendations that achieved 50% overhead savings. • Provided expertise to the TAQA Canada and Abu Dhabi teams on US business practices for the operations of the assets and then later for the sale of assets. Instrumental in the successful planning and execution of the downsizing of staff, the transfer of the US oil and gas assets, and the closure of the US office.
