Finance Director, Head Of Financial & Regulatory Reporting Uk
Current- Take the operational management of the Financial & Regulatory Reporting UK team, a team of approximately 10 staff based in London. Includes management responsibility for objective-setting, task prioritisation, performance assessments and career development.- Support the CFO UK, working closely and collaboratively with the Prague based management to ensure the combined team operates to a high standard throughout the month.- Work within the wider management group to ensure that transactions booked in a London entity are appropriately controlled, recorded and presented in accordance with Commerzbank Policy requirements. Responsibilities:- Take the operational ownership of the financial IFRS and HGB reporting for a range of the Commerzbank London booked entities (London Branch, Subsidiaries and Special Purpose Vehicles) covering booking procedures, key control activities, month end reporting, Front Office liaison and Audit requirements. - Be involved with all aspects of legal entities including new entity/deal approvals, new product reviews (NPP process), new accounting standards adoption, infrastructure set up and covering a wild range of investment banking products.- Monitor and review the impairment process for the London entities, liaising with Group Risk and ensuring completeness and accuracy of the booking on the Balance Sheet and the Pnl of relevant entities.- Manage three teams (Balance Sheet reporting London Branch, Balance Sheet reporting Subsidiaries & SPV’s and Pnl reporting) and train a team of ten permanent members of staff (combination of qualified and part qualified) and one contractor all based in London.

Led the SAP/Business Warehouse (BW) upgrade project.- Managed and trained two qualified/part-qualified accountants. - Software: Murex, Summit and Martini (FO Trading System), FRESCO (HO Reporting Tool), SAP/BW (general ledger), Fibre (sub-ledger) and a variety of other relevant systems.
