Founder/CEO of Roxxiedanz Productions Inc (RXD), Roxanna Lewis has made turkey soup with Dr. Maya Angelou while interviewing her for PBS, written with Emmy Nominated Actor/Director Ben Gazzara on his autobiography and worked with acclaimed WGAw writers for “The Writer’s Brigade” to make the world a kinder place. She’s worked on projects with Island Records, SONY UK, MPress Records, ABC-TV, CNN.COM, The Discovery Channel, Showtime, Mindless Entertainment, DNA Productions, The Revolver Film Company, Birdman Filmworks, Kilo Entertainment, A Season of Rain Productions, and Running Man. Roxanna recently wrote/directed and produced the film, No Strings Attached (in post), starring Jophielle Love (Emmy Nominated) and two time Emmy winner, Sally Struthers.Roxanna was raised in a multi-cultural, multi-generational home of immigrants with stories of staunch civil rights activists, work-to-the-bone day laborers, cutthroat self-made millionaires, black-listed artists, lawmakers, addicts, and unsolved murders of loved ones still missing. Growing up in a world saturated with complicated characters, Roxanna quickly learned to listen with an open heart, survey the room with her back against the wall and always on the ready for a good belly-laugh!Roxanna’s approach to storytelling/filmmaking is a grand collision of her experiences as live director, choreographer, dancer and actress. Her work has been presented across the US from Broadway to Lincoln Center Out-Of-Doors to the Presidential Task Force on Disabilities Showcase in Washington DC, to performances for dignitaries and audiences in Europe, Asia and Central America. She’s been featured on BBC-TV, ABC, NBC, Fox and Moscow Television as well as several radio shows and podcasts. Roxanna’s received two grants from The Community Foundation (NEA partnership), Community First Cares, Westchester Community Council, and support from The Flutie Foundation for Rachel Barcellona for the film, Mandy’s Voice. Roxanna’s career has fortuitously led her to create work for and with artists who identify as paraplegic, wheelchair users, d/Deaf, blind, neurodiverse and neurotypical. Roxanna is a featured guest for WeBelive 2025, speaking to over 8,000 students in the US and Canada about the power of creativity and following your dreams!
