With over 15 years of experience in mental health nursing and 9 years of healthcare leadership, I am a Clinical Manager at Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), where I oversee the delivery of high-quality and safe care for children and youth with mental health needs. I have a Master's Certificate in Health Systems Management, a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, a Certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, and a Certified Health Executive designation, which reflect my commitment to continuous learning and professional development.I am passionate about driving continuous quality improvement and promoting safety for both staff and patients. I have initiated and led several projects that have improved patient outcomes, enhanced staff engagement, and reduced costs. One of my proudest achievements was leading the implementation of UKSafety pods, a novel intervention that made CHEO the first organization in North America to use this evidence-based practice to reduce the risk of harm and restraint in mental health units. I am always seeking innovative solutions and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to create meaningful change in healthcare.
