Served as Project Manager and lead core member of a ships maintenance team responsible for the planning and execution phase of all repairs, alteration, and modernization work assigned to NSSA/RMC on assigned ships during availabilities (CNO and Continuous Maintenance (CM) availabilities).

Served as a Contracting Officer with authority of up to $5 Million, worked in the Cost Negotiation Division Code 460 managing complex Multiple Ship Multiple Option (MSMO) cost-type contracts for ship repair being performed by private shipyards. Performed contract administration functions for MARMC on various ship repair projects. Negotiated prices, scope of work changes, delivery dates, and other terms and conditions of the contract for both cost plus award fee and fixed priced contracts.

Provided computer analysis, including analysis of advance planning, planning, estimating, contracts, and execution processes/problems as they relate to relational database design and industrial process engineering for Naval Ship Repair and Modernization. Involved in the analysis, development, and design of the SUPSHIP community Naval Maintenance Database (NMD) and served as NMD Database Administrator. Provided guidance and expertise to developers, contractors, and users of the NMD database.

Provided naval architectural engineering services to the various departments and performed professional engineering services for naval architectural installations aboard naval ships under the cognizance of SUPSHIP. Responsible for research and development, design, modifications, technical adequacy, and the validity of structural items under the divisions cognizance with particular emphasis on coatings, coating types, and application to corrosion control problems. Served as the single point of contact within the SUPSHIP organization for coatings and corrosion control. Performed necessary studies, computations, and development of designs and completed working drawings associated with design problems on in-progress ship work in the contractors plants. Provided technical expertise on foundations for main and auxiliary propulsion machinery, electrical and engineering equipment, new design of special and standard type structures and ballistic access closures, general arrangements dealing with onboard berthing, small crafts and boats, outfitting, damage control systems, rigging systems, refueling at sea arrangements, and welding applications.

Provided engineering services required for the installation of all structural projects necessary for construction, alteration, conversion, and repair of all classes of naval vessels. Developed and reviewed design strength calculations, working drawings, and data for structural projects on all types of naval vessels.
