As a Financial Planning Content Specialist, I combine technical knowledge of all aspects of financial planning (including wealth management, tax, retirement, estate and insurance) with an award-winning writing ability and excellent facilitation skills. This unique skill set allows me to work on a range of projects, such as:• Creating and marketing a library of continuing education courses for financial advisors (see www.learningpartner.ca)• Working with FP Canada's Examination Team on the development of the national CFP exam (July 2014 to April 2022)• Collaborating on the development of the curriculum and writing content for the new Harmonized LLQP (Life Licensing Qualification Program), first released 2015. Updating the Life Insurance module on an annual basis.• Writing content for advisor websites (e.g., the retirement income planning micro-site of a major Canadian insurance company)• Writing in-depth content for financial planning and insurance certification courses (e.g., content for the CIFP’s CFP® courses, and IFSE’s LLQP course)• Developing and delivering training (e.g., nationwide CFP® exam-cram workshops, continuing education sessions at the national CIFP conference, and corporate training sessions)• Developing comprehensive reference materials for financial advisors (e.g., CIFP’s Financial Planning Practitioners’ Guide)• Developing case studies and financial concept documents for consumer and advisor audiences (e.g., marketing materials and advisor newsletters for a major Canadian insurance company).
