Community builder | Creative problem solver | Lifelong learner.With an interdisciplinary background in international development studies, gender studies, and public policy and administration, I am an experienced leader and strategic thinker passionate about working with equity-deserving communities across various sectors to build innovative and creative solutions to social challenges.My work has spanned supporting communities in the Global South and across Canada on educational resource development and empowerment-based programming for youth, women, 2SLGBTQIA+ people, and Indigenous and racialized communities on gender-based violence, sexual health and HIV prevention, healthy relationships and consent, mental health, and harm reduction. I am currently the Principal Knowledge User on a CIHR-funded catalyst grant, where I am co-leading a national community-based research study evaluating the efficacy of CANFAR's digital youth resource, Sexfluent.ca, which I created.In 2024, I won the National Thought Leadership Award by the Canadian Association of Programs in Public Administration and the Institute of Public Administration of Canada on considerations for collecting race-disagreggated data in the public health system to monitor racial health inequities.
