Responsible for the Collections/Follow Up Department for HMA's Tennessee Regional Service Center in Knoxville consisting of 8 hospitals and staff of 25+.

Responsible for multi-state project management on internal and external levels, organization, management and supervision of receivables management division with staff of 25+. Senior consultant responsibilities include evaluation of hospital and physician business office practices, receivables consulting, cash flow turnaround, establishment of quality assurance programs including job performance standards as well as interim Director of Patient Financial Services Departments.

Responsible for overall organization, management and leadership of the Patient Business Service Department for two JCAHO accrediated entities, one 187-bed acute care, one behavioral health medical center and one 53-bed skilled nursing facility. Directed staff compliment of 45 FTEs including Admitting, ED/OP Registration, Insurance and Private-Pay Billing and Collections, Switchboard, Cash Receipts, Finance, Managed Care and System Operations.

Responsible for direction of 26 FTEs in Insurance Billing and Collection. Serviced Indiana University Medical Center, a 692-bed non-profit, tertiary care JCAHO accredited teaching facility with an annual rate of 24,000 inpatient admissions and over 90 specialized outpatient clinics producing an average annual revenue of $375 million. Also serviced Riley Hospital for Children, a 247-bed, JCAHO accredited comprehensive children’s hospital, medical research facility. Conducted a complete cash flow turn-around as well as managed and assisted in the development of a successful system conversion to paperless processes on time and under budget. Instrumental in product development of and was beta site for BCBS Fast EMC product.
