As an Occupational therapist, I have over twenty three years experience in various settings including: Acute Inpatient, Outpatient, Skilled Nursing Facilities, and patient's homes. With expertise in Orthopedic and Upper Extremities injury recovery, I've seen a vast spectrum of the population from our little ones to your Grandpa. Helping clients return to function after trauma or various disease processes is my aim by using Evidence Based Best Practices. I do this whether fabricating splints, instructing next steps for Home Exercise Programs or helping families learn the safest shower transfer post op.In the academic setting, along with other Junior faculty and our Director, we earned the ACOTE (national) accreditation for the fledgling Master of Occupational Therapy program at Indiana State University within the Department of Applied Medicine and Rehabilitation.In industry, along with a team from Star*One Rehab provided ergonomic assessment, work simulation, rehab and work conditioning for the Industrial athletes at the Toyota Plant in Indiana (TMMI) and numerous feeder companies.
