I worked with the Corporate Responsibility team to lead integrated comms and marketing announcements on ALDI’s ethical business practices including its 100% renewable energy achievement, its Zero Waste to Landfill commitment and its progress to reduce plastic packaging. I also coordinated and reviewed the Tax Report and Modern Slavery Statement.I led the preparation of ALDI’s appearance at a Senate Committee evaluating the impact COVID-19 has had on temporary migration in the horticulture industry and effectively communicated how ALDI has mitigated risks to workers in its supply chain.I led external stakeholder engagement plans, in particular to ALDI’s Australian business partners. This involved tactics such as webcasts, eDMs, exec videos as well as supporting buying teams with the development of communications collateral.

Parks Victoria is a state government agency that protects four million hectares receiving 100 million visits per year contributing $2.1 billion and 20,000 jobs to the economy.I developed and implemented a corporate reputation strategy to position Parks Victoria as a conservation organisation which included executive profiling, crisis communications, highlighting the agency’s corporate social responsibility initiatives and commitment to diversity and inclusion. Results included front-page national news articles and features in various trade outlets. A strategic focus on LinkedIn dramatically increased the number of followers and engagement at a rate never previously seen.Crafted and oversaw the communications plan for significant projects including the restriction of rock climbing in the Grampians to protect Aboriginal heritage, construction of infrastructure at the Twelve Apostles and the construction of a 13 day hike, the Grampians Peaks Trail. I worked to educate journalists to build advocacy for the programs amongst discerning communities with competing stakeholder views.I designed a measurement framework working closely with the broader marketing division to establish performance metrics, align messaging and ensure an integrated approach that would meet the Minister and Board expectations. I also oversaw the collation of the Annual Report and Sustainability Plan and edited each document. I developed a proactive media relations program that involved developing and fostering media relationships, facilitating media familiarisations and media training and briefing spokespeople to secure unprecedented media coverage.
