Collaborated with KU Faculty and Lawrence Journal World staff to produce interactive data visualization graphics containing local data sets for the Lawrence Journal World website. Additionally, aided faculty with an undergraduate class at KU to teach them how to use interactive graphics software, how to interpret data, how to effectively display data, and how to use data to tell a story.

Worked alongside a small design staff to produce work both for print and digital. Served many local Kansas City businesses with routine collateral as well as special campaigns and events. Lead a branding campaign for a professional luncheon which included collateral such as signs, social media posts, Snapchat filter, signs, menus, stationary, and more. Explored methods of design, production, social media strategy, and copywriting.

In 2015 I joined the Kansan staff as a page designer. After six months I was promoted to Visuals Editor and Chief Designer, a position I held for two years. As Visuals Editor I was responsible for determining Kansan visual style as we underwent an overhaul of our visual brand, and then maintaining and guiding the visual brand with a staff of page designers, photographers, and illustrators. I collaborated with section editors and reporters to learn the stories, determine their needs and create pages that serve the story best. Additionally, I often produced hand-drawn or vector editorial illustrations for the Kansan.
