I have always, and continue to seek, opportunities to design circuitry in a good team environment, either as a team member or as a technical leader. I started my career in a thick film hybrid facility testing parts, designing active burn in fixtures, and learning the trade from a talented staff. In my second position at IGT I did a number of simple analog and mixed signal designs supporting their communications and security products while working on a early 802.11 ISM band direct sequence BPSK radio. At Raytheon Advanced Device Center, I had an excellent opportunity to design Ka band front ends for satellite communications terrestrial equipment. I was part of a team that designed 2 front ends in two years, with one going to low rate production. At SNC, I have been a jack of all trades electrical engineer working on Ka Band radar front ends from both a systems (specifying) and circuit design function. I have also had many design opportunities addressing parts obsolescence in SNC military products, keeping the TALS radar in production for 20 years. I have also worked on a high voltage 3000W DC power supply and distribution design, and circuitry and systems for tracking radars at X band and higher. More recently, I have designed RF systems for radar and ELINT applications. This experience at SNC has constantly challenged me to learn and adopt new skills quickly.Specialties: Microwave, mixed signal and pure analog circuit design from DC power supplies to Ka band radar and radio front ends. I can implement designs as PCB circuits or chip and wire hybrids with soft or hard substrates. I also work on electromagnetic problems such as antennas, shielding, and waveguide transitions. I have a secret clearance.
