Since April 2007, I have held the position of Site Facilities Manager at the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital Brighton, an acute Hospital. My team provides life critical hard facilities and fabric services for a PFI Contract, working with the Trust’s Clinical personnel and Ward Managers to agree the least disruptive access times to carryout the service.I ensure that all services are delivered safely, within an agreed PPM Plan or Project Programme, meeting all statutory and regulatory compliance requirements.As a focused, self-motivated Manager with over 30 years maintenance and Hard Facilities Management experience, I have managed multiple and various sized site teams, including specialist Sub-contractors. As part of my role I also take the lead in liaising with numerous associated third-party consultants. Over the years I have demonstrated positive maintenance and project cost control, whilst maintaining facilities standards to project completion. Through positive and direct leadership these tasks have been completed within realistic and agreed operational timelines, meeting associated Health & Safety compliance requirements, as well as monitoring industry best working practices. I possess unique organisational management skills, a strong aptitude for motivating and developing team members, enabling them to develop and achieve their own career aspirations.Another key strength, which I have refined through experience, is developing the core business values, building and maintaining trust between third parties, such as the SPV, NHS Trust Stakeholders, Consultants and approved Specialist Contractors. I continually maintain a positive and can-do attitude, which has enabled me to overcome some difficult challenges over the years.Moving forward my personal goal is to utilise my previously gained operational management skills and experience within the Maintenance or Facilities environment.
