Please refer to: www.andersenroy.com for all information about me and my life's work.For over 30 years, I have dedicated my life to understanding how children really learn and how the school works. I am deeply concerned that we are not teaching the child of today the intellectual skills and sense of social responsibility they will need in the artificial intelligence dominated world they must live and work in.Through my work & research I offer a new way to understand intelligence, how it may be better developed in the child & a new method for teaching large classes of students. No distance is too great and no time too short for the child who is as lost as I once was.Roy Andersen has written seven books that are said to be among the best written about society, school and learning. He has discovered how a political program in the 19th Century sought to create a universal consciousness that social ability is genetically inherited. He explains how this theme was absorbed into education to devise a model citizen for the industrial age, which we have amended and still use today in the manner we process students. The use of this manner of education explains why children have difficulty to learn in school, and why education is continually criticized for failing to produce young citizens easily able to adapt to real life situations. He has further proven, for the first time, why intelligence is not genetically inherited as is reasoned, and given a new definition of intelligence based on emotion and language. He is also the first author to explain the possible social ramifications of developments in nanotechnology, and why and how education needs to restructure itself to devise a totally different kind of citizen for a global society based on the dominance of artificial intelligence. In short, he warns how school must stop focusing upon students passing examinations, which is used to boost standing in league tables, and instead focus upon developing higher reasoning skills in young students and a greater sense of individual and social responsibility in older ones -- so that all may live with greater security in a world that we, of our time, may not easily recognize.
