Leads design and engineering for the customer enterprise network involving the extension and application of advanced engineering and networking principles and concepts. Work may include a variety of complex features and require multi- or interdisciplinary approaches. The Senior IA SME Network Architect conducts advanced and state-of-the-art assignments on the evolution of the ARNET Enterprise to include network design optimization, technical trade studies, specification of equipment configurations, technology assessment, technology insertion planning, capacity planning, and configuration management. Examples of other activities include: post-sales network architecture and strategic planning; evaluating network performance reports and providing network consulting support; engineer or re-engineering network policies consistent with customer service level requirements and approved requirements document (i.e. IPv6, multi-VRF, QOS, etc.); and providing technical information for, and final technical editing of, all documents and proposals.

08/13/2018-Current, Cybersecurity Officer, Create and ensure the JMICS programs Information Assurance documentation, polices, and procedures are properly aligned to the standards set forth by DIA, DISA, DOD and Army Policy. The Cybersecurity Officer will verify that said documentation is updated as required as Policies changes. Conduct routine risk assessments of the JMICS Program and each of the systems assigned to the program. Risk assessments include full system scans using ACAS, SCC, and Nessus, comparing system security settings to the applicable IAVA and STIG’s as they are updated by DISA. Work with JMICS Senior Cyber Security Specialist to create, maintain, and deploy JMICS Secure Baseline. Guide an information system successfully through the RMF assess and authorize process to obtain an ATO. Conduct site visits completing site level certification tests, site surveys, and risk analysis. Ensure the JMICS Secure Baseline is properly maintained and secured as required by DIA, DISA, DOD, and Army policy. Verify said baselines are adjusted, adapted, and upgraded to ensure that all unauthorized vulnerabilities found during the risk assessments are properly removed or mitigated to an acceptable level and to ensure the software used within the JMICS program is approved IAW the APL. Perform Research and Development to ensure all new software and hardware to be deployed to the system meets all the security and configuration requirements that the JMICS Program is held to. Develop and modify software tools to assist system admins in the advanced configuration and reconfiguration of the JMICS Information Systems. Serve as the final tier of support for security\system\network administration issues to all of the System Administrators within the JMICS Program
