Roy Butler is a Mission Assurance Manager for the ISS Cold Atom Lab, Mars Curiosity Rover, NASA-ISRO SAR, and Soil Moisture Active-Passive observatory. He previously worked as Systems Payload Engineer on the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter mission, as well as flight testbed and ground data systems work. He holds degrees in Space Systems Engineering and Philosophy. He was awarded the NASA Exceptional Achievement Medal in 2008.
