MITIE Equipment Services, an internal division of MITIE Environmental+, was started by Roy in 2006 with the aim of minimising the cost of the services provided.Responsibilities included purchasing, maintenance, repair and servicing of all floor cleaning machines owned by MITIE Environmental+ and also a separate PAT operation. Internal Customers include MITIE Cleaning, Transport, Retail, Healthcare, Events & Leisure, MITIE PFI, and MITIE Technical Facilities Management.This included a portfolio of circa 10,000 site addresses, 45,000 machines, and a turnover of circa £3.3m.Roy had full management responsibility of this business which included all financial aspects; monthly financial reporting, budget achievement, profit & loss management. employee management, sales and marketing, procurement, operations and business strategy.Roy took the decision to leave MITIE in December 2013, to establish his own service operation.
