I'm working with institutional partners to document the history of the Macanese (mixed-race Portuguese) in Asia and the diaspora (migration) of the group to 35 countries around the world. A major tool is www.fareastcurrents.com, a web site that accepts submitted material and tracks my research. I'm also in contact with the governments of Macau and Hong Kong, as well as several Macanese diaspora organizations around the world.

Los Angeles, California

I was the operations officer for the School of Film and Television. In that capacity I managed film, television, animation, sound and internet technologies. This included direct supervision of 85 faculty, 15 staff members, and a $1.2 million budget. I was also an advisor to LMU's School of Business Administration under a grant from Wells Fargo Bank.

Richmond, California

I founded and managed a multi-government agency that provided cable television, internet and wireless services to 90,000 users in the Bay Area (San Francisco). As the chief operations officer I supervised 25 staff members and a $10.4 million budget. Additional duties included providing distance learning to local colleges, live and taped television productions, public opinion polling, and commercial advertising.
