Retired on April 12, 2024. I was fortunate enough to join the dental field 32 years ago. For the first 7 years, I worked in dental office design, retail equipment sales, and corporate technology management. My move to A-dec 25 years ago was the best decision ever because I fit well into their nurturing “family-like” culture. During my career with A-dec, I learned about the challenges dentists face with business and the pain they suffer from working in awkward positions while trying to get visual and working access in the mouth. Today, I am certified to teach dental ergonomics as a CEAS and have helped hundreds of dental professionals learn how to work more comfortably. Looking for personal help in this area or a speaker for your study club, simply reach out. I will help and don’t charge for this service because it is my way of giving back to the profession that has supported me for decades!On a personal note, I am married to Suzanne for 40 years and we run a hobby farm together called Eagle Valley Goats and Pigs. We mentor others who want to raise farm animals in a kind and caring environment. While my wife is an expert on all things “goat,” I am locally known as the Pig Whisperer and act as an educator for kids on the wonders of raising pigs. Unfortunately, many people incorrectly think they are dumb and dirty. They’re actually the cleanest farm animal and have the problem solving skills of a 3 year old child.
