With the addition of a new class room and server, I was given the task of student Administrator for the class; Since I had the knowledge required as well as the free time needed to handle Administrating the Domain server and services required for both the CompTIA A+ class as well as the CCENT which were held in the same room by Mr.Ellis. During my time as a student admin I implemented IP schemes for the room, locked down the security that was previously managed by the school IT department, managed services from the server including FTP repositories needed for student use for their course work, and helped create and solve course related problems in parallel with Mark Ellis for better retention in lectures. Amidst job duties as student admin I also played with various open-source solutions for course required information services, eventually setting up various Linux and UNIX machines for students to experience and administrate on a separate service network. -
