Among some of my duties were creation of sort programs that the machines used to sort mail, troubleshooting delivery and addressing issues and either fixing the issue or modifying a sort program to correct it, Facility Safety Officer, knowledge of OSHA regulations, troubleshooting computer issues remotely for all the post offices I was responsible for (about 80 or 90) and many other duties. I was a Certified Field Trainer for Carrier Sequence Bar Code Sorters where I conducted three day long classes on operation of the machine for clerks and week long classes for repair of the machines for our higher level clerks and field service electronic technicians.

Electronic Technician in Engineering Test and Repair doing component level repair of complex data communication equipment (time division multiplexors which were used for transmission of voice data and video). I used a wide array of complex test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, TIMS, bit error rate testers, et al. I used machine language to write simple diagnostic programs which I would burn to EPROM and execute from a terminal accessing the particular type of board I happened to be working on (old school troubleshooting!).
