PROFILEI am a driven, enthusiastic person with vast experience of working within mechanical engineering sector and civil building sector having progressed my career from initially labouring on various sites to working through the required qualifications to Advanced Scaffolder and then onto Supervision and now Management.I have a total of 25years’ experience in the scaffolding industry with 17 years at either supervisory or management level, I believe with my experience and expertise I would be a major asset to any company. I have vast experience within the Power, industrial chemical and oil & gas environments. Coupled with a practical approach to problem solving, I’m an exceptional leader who is able to develop and motivate others to achieve set targets, I can demonstrate a strong ability to man manage projects from conception through to completion I have a tireless approach to pro-actively managing my own and others health and safety.I am currently a Site Manager responsible for Various disciplines including Scaffolding, Insulation, Cleaners and Painting works, I am responsible for all commercial aspects of the contract and all operatives who work on site from General Maintenance work and the regular major Shutdowns that take place.I have vast knowledge of all types of Scaffolding which includes Conventional (tube&fit), System scaffolding (Layer, Scaffom Allaround, and numerous others. I have had experience with HR issues/Disciplinary’s and given the outcomes in numerous cases. I have been an acting site Manager on numerous occasions looking after a team of 150+operatives through all disciplines including Scaffolding, Insulation, Rope Access and cleaning, I also have experience in Asbestos works and Painting. I possess an ability to quickly adapt to any role which I have undertaken and am keen to add to my experience with new challenges within different industry sectors.

Scaffold And Rope Access Senior SupervisorHertel Mar 2013 - Apr 2017Drax Power Station, MaintenanceMy Position within Hertel is Access Senior Supervisor which covered all Access solutions available to us as a company i.e. (Scaffolding, Rope Access, Alternative Access etc.) My duties included the day to day running of a large team of scaffolding personnel from supervisors, scaffold inspectors, planners, scaffolders, and yard staff. I am very knowledgeable with all legislation and approved codes of practice within the scaffolding business. I am currently the breakdown manager which deals with the organization of cleaners, insulation technicians and scaffolders when a breakdown occurs from the initial breakdown to completion and liaise closely with the client during the breakdown period. My other duties include scoping and estimating all scaffold works, from maintenance work to project works with tenders ranging from £10,000 to £1.4m,and development of reports to Management, I am very proactive regarding Health and safety and produce my own Risk Assessments, Method Statements for various tasks and design scaffolds. Coupled with this I undertake management based site Audits, safety tours and deliver on-site tool box talks. I am also heavily involved with all aspects of Health and safety within my team and ensure that all carryout their tasks safely and to an excellent standard . I am very astute commercially and heavily involved with the month to month commercial reports and positively liaise with the client regarding commercial issues.I also currently deputize as Site Manager when required.

My duties included scoping of all scaffolding that was to be erected in the pre shutdown phase ensuring that all targets were met safely and within the allocated budget. My other duties included the organization of 60 + scaffolders and supervision during the shutdown in order to service the client’s requirements. This shutdown also needed close co-ordination with the client on a daily basis which I was heavily involved.
