Reporting to the Head of Commercial was primarily responsible for all prices offered to customers on the webuyanycar.com website. Introduced the concept of individual targets for all vehicles to improve performance measurement and to ensure overall budgets were achieved. Gained experience in forecasting, budgeting and modelling. Designed and built a bespoke waterfall regression model to accurately predict the selling price of cars at auction. Adapted the model to create a vehicle mapping algorithm that meant data from a diverse range of sources could be compared regardless of the origin or format. Helped design, test and implement a bespoke commercial toolset that allowed the commercial department to create and manage all the logic and parameters required to set and change prices on the website without the need for any IT involvement.
