Managing a facility that produces and distributes a wide array of materials for the concrete, construction, and landscaping industries for the northeast United States and areas of Canada. My responsibilities encompassed all areas of production, logistics, cost management, inventory control, risk management and customer satisfaction. Employee training and relations, product development, fabricator, mechanic, forklift operator, and most recently account invoicing were also among my duties. During this time, I also played an integral part in an extensive rework of the plant operations schedule resulting in a significant reduction in operating costs while simultaneously increasing output production figures.

Greater Detroit Area

Jacksonville, Florida Area

As the sole company representative in Florida, it was my job to establish a viable manufacturing and distribution center of construction materials for the southeastern United States. This included overseeing the construction on a new 10,000 sq.ft. facility, hiring and training production personnel, the hiring and training of office staff, coordinating shipping and receiving, inventory control, production and cost control, as well as occasional marketing assignments. Upon my leaving of the company, under good terms, this facility was all ready generating $1 million plus of revenue annually.

Las Vegas, Nevada Area

My duties in Las Vegas were divided between Penvesco Development and its parent company, J.D. Russell. With Penvesco, I worked cohesively with a senior company superintendent in the development of a multi-acre commercial and industrial business park for the J.D. Russell Company and it partners. This opportunity gave me a hands on learning approach into all facets of commercial building, including; zoning and permits, surveying and site work, utilities, foundation and concrete, and the erection of a 20,000 sq.ft. manufacturing facility that I would later occupy as General Manager. Once complete, I staffed and operated said facility as a western distribution center with much success. I was consequently relocated to Florida to repeat this task for J.D. Russell.
