I have returned to the farm and taken over the day to day operation. I work with my parents and my father takes care of the books and other office work. In the three years I have been operating the farm we have changed significantly in both crops raised and marketing methods. The operation has changed from raising a standard wheat, millet and milo to a very diverse mix of three legumes, hard white winter wheat, einkorn (an ancient wheat), flax, oil sunflowers, millet, milo, oats, bloody butcher corn (heirloom dent corn), and buckwheat. We are devoted to farming with regenerative practices and increasing soil health. In addition, we are now direct marketing our mixes using flour produced from our grain. In addition we have also added a number of bee hives and are selling honey and other bee products.
