My core function is to manage and lead the strategic and operational planning process for learning and development of Driver Training for the East Midlands Collaboration of Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Police Forces.As the Regional Driver Training Manager I am responsible for the performance and management of specialist staff and Police Officer trainers involved in the design, delivery, development and evaluation of high risk area training programmes to existing and new clients. These include, Advanced 'Blue Light' Response Driver Training (VIP Protection, Category 'A' escort, Tactical Pursuit and Containment, Motorbikes, Initial Phase Pursuit and Vocational licence Category 'C' & 'D' training). I develop and maintain excellent client relationships, including stakeholder engagement and consultancy with the College of Policing and the Association of Chief Police Officers and represent the East Midlands region on a national level. My role includes ensuring Learning & Development provision is aligned with organisational business goals, supporting bid submission, policies and commercial objectives, whilst creating a culture of continuous improvement and dedication to leading and enhancing high performance teams.
