I am a well balanced engineer with Marine, Mechanical, & Chemical, Gas experience. An Incorpoared Engineer I am also a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers & Shipbuilders in Scotlad, & an Associate Member of the Institute of Marine Engineers. I am a time served engineer with 5 year apprenticeship served with The marine engineering company John Hasties & Co. ltd in Greenock. This was followed by a period in the drawing office. This was followed up over several years with employment in Kingston Marine Technolgy Ltd ( an R & D division of Sir William Lithgow's shipbuilding empire)Scott's Shipbuilding (test & Trials engineer)Before returning to J. Hasties and Co as Project manager for Mine Counter Measure Vessel low magnetic steering gear program. Company bought by Vickers plc and integrated with Brown Brothers of Edinburgh. Responsible as S & M Manger for all Hasties products including acquisition of buoy & cargo handing business SPEEDCRANES. Developed new markets and products for Marine, Navel, Offhore, Oil & Gas.Joined Howden Compressors Ltd as Director/General Manager of Process gas Division in 1992Developing sophisticated packaged systems for the global Oil & Gas B industry.As a member of the senior management team developed strategies & acquisitions for business growth and expansion.Promoted to succeed managing Director
