(1)Supervised up to 10 associates in the Item Processing department, who were responsible for the preparation of incoming (external) and (internal) cashletter items (checks and electronic images which were received via courier or image files sent electronically on a Xerox Printer) for capture on various types of hardware such as the 3890 IBM Reader Sorter and NCR 7780’s which was one step in debiting or crediting internal and external customer accounts for several cut-off time related deadlines. This process also included proper preparation of items to be cleared through the Dallas Federal Reserve and Clearing House / NCHA (Payments Nation) after these transactions were balanced.(2)Responsible for correcting and reporting float variations on all processed transactions. Assisted in the determination of when funds would be available per account or transaction internally and externally. I also assisted as technical support with sort pattern upgrades, balancing internal General Ledger spread sheets and would occasionally serve as back-up to Site Manager.(3)Supervised up to 17 associates in the Item Processing Department. 7 Reader Sorter Operators, 1 Master Terminal Operator (M.T.O.), 3 LNDY Machine Operators and occasionally trained and supervised 6 Proof Operators. Duties consisted of : Processing or capturing external and internal transit cash letter and proof deposits for several cut-off time related deadlines. This process was one of the steps in actually debiting or crediting personal or commercial accounts. Assisted in the reconciliation of accounts receivables and account payables transactions. Balanced General Ledger, DDA accounts, Bank Drafts, Auto Loans, clear-ons, return items, suspects, ACH (automated clearing house) payments and exceptions. We also fine- sorted checks for internal and external clients by bank routing, serial, account and amount number fields.
