I am an admitted attorney and intellectual property law specialist. I have over twelve years’ experience in intellectual property law (patents, trademarks, designs, copyright), commercial drafting, contracts, and franchise law. My IP experience is wide-ranging including industrial and mining, pharmaceuticals, technology and a variety of SMMEs and start-ups. I have spoken at numerous conferences and workshops, and on radio interviews on intellectual property law and patent law, and have had articles published in this field. I am a CEDR accredited mediator, and am passionate about seeking solutions between parties through mediation, rather than litigation. I hold an LLB degree and a BSc degree in Chemistry and Cellular Biology. My memberships include the Cape Law Society, the SAIIPL (South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law), the South African group of AIPPI (International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property), and the Cape Town Chamber of Commerce.
