My professional career began with the former Mt. Diablo Health Care District (MDHCD), where I assisted in fundraising efforts and advocacy for community health and well-being programs, including the Wellness City Challenge’s “Change the Food, Change Everything” program (https://lnkd.in/g2hppz9Q) at Mt. Diablo High School, in collaboration with the high school’s culinary academy. When the MDHCD disbanded and became a subsidiary district of the City of Concord in 2012, I became instrumental in transitioning over 50 years of accumulated MDHCD history and documentation into the City’s Record Management Program.I have developed my career in marketing communications working in the Architecture/Engineering/Construction (A/E/C) industry and am currently a member on the communications committee of SMPS—Society for Marketing Professional Services, helping with social media efforts and writing articles for the organization’s San Francisco chapter. I am a board member on the Rotary Club of Concord-Diablo, championing social media communications and volunteering for events benefiting the community. I was honored with a ‘Rookie of the Year’ award in 2023 due to my enthusiastic and dedicated approach to marketing and communications for the club.I also serve as the Mt. Diablo Education Foundation (MDEDF) Vice President and Chair of Marketing & Fundraising, helping with social media communications, marketing efforts, event coordination, and facilitating educational enrichment programs across the Mt. Diablo Unified School District. I am passionate about social justice and human rights, frequently spearheading local grassroots endeavors to challenge biases and working towards equitable change.
