Bumperdo was a free to use task manager that helped you get stuff done. I developed it, maintained it, and tried to improve it every once in a while. It wasn't meant to be a commercial success - it helped me improve my efficiency and effectiveness, and it made sense to allow signups. I closed it down in 2021 as I felt the limited time I could spend on it disadvantaged users.

During my studies I became interested in website design, coding and optimizing the websites I made by combining SEO-improvements and website changes that benefitted both conversion and visitor satisfaction. While starting out as merely a way to be able to make sites for other companies on a more professional level, 4za quickly became a more serious effort. During the three years I have so far been active creating websites I have helped over fifty companies establishing an online presence. Also, I created software for work rostering that has been used by hundreds of people. The last year, I have also been cooperating with a Dutch hosting-company and a UK-based accountants-services company to create a whitelabel website platform, via which I have helped over a hundred UK accountants by delivering a highly customizable yet standardized and easy website solution.4za is still my number one leisure activity: I love starting my code editor when watching football on my couch, sitting in a train or just about anywhere, and I still like to maintain my graphic design skills by occasionally creating new websites or ideas.

During my internship at Vrieling Adviesgroep I got the opportunity to be involved in the launch of a completely new product: the companies first online-only insurance product. The technique and inner workings of the website were under my control, and I was involved in marketing decisions that helped the product move forward.
