The event was broadcast live to more than 250 million people around the world and was supported by FIFA Partners Coke, Visa, Gazprom, Wanda, and Adidas; and National Supporters BTC, Kalik Light and Scotiabank. The newly constructed, 3500-seat stadium that was the home for the 32 matches is the largest permanent structure ever for a beach soccer world cup. Beach Soccer is a new sport to The Bahamas and because of the strong marketing push, the stadium was full for many of the matches not only for the World Cup, but also for the CONCACAF qualifier event held a few weeks earlier. - Local marketing lead to build awareness and excitement for the event and ensure FIFA brand standards were maintained in these areas leading up to and during the 11-day World Cup tournament including: Event Promotion Activities, Winner’s Trophy Experience, LOC Events, Food and Beverage, Value in Kind products from FIFA Partners, Fan Zone National Supporter Activation, National Supporters activation and ROI (Local Sponsors), Official Event Merchandising- Conceptual development and implementation of LOC events including the Winner’s Trophy Experience and community involvement projects such as the High School Draw which paired local schools with participating teams- Worked closely with the communications team, developing the narrative for the event and talking points for the LOC executives as well as integrating social media communications - Speechwriting for the Bahamas Football Association President during the Official Draw, which was televised on Direct TV to channels around the world - Worked with the FIFA design team to develop the official promotional poster
