Dr. Bedard, is a Ph.D in Educational Psychology from Florida State University’s College of Education, Educational Psychology and Learning Systems. His research interests are on decision making, anticipation, anxiety, and perceptual cognitive skills through the lens of psychology and behavioral neuroscience. He earned his M.Sc in Educational Psychology and B.Sc in Criminology and Criminal Justice.Dr. Bedard is the owner and President of RRB Systems, International. He is an adjunct professor at Tallahassee State College and Seminole State College.From 1985-1995 Bedard competed Internationally as an elite athlete on the United States Karate Team (USAKF). He captained the US Team in the 1987 Pan-American Karate Invitational in San Pedro Sula, Honduras and appeared as a heavyweight team fighter in the 1994 World Karate Championship (WKF) in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.As a law enforcement professional he is experienced in response to calls for service, police procedures, arrest tactics, use of force, criminal investigations and reporting. He is a certified trainer in firearms, use of force and general patrol procedures by the Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission. He has worked as a private consultant and expert witness providing research and case preparation for public safety, and private security related issues in over 400 cases. Bedard has influenced training practices and policies in many police, corrections and security agencies in the United States, Europe, Canada, Latin America the Caribbean and Asia. His training method has earned him respect among his peers both within and outside of the law enforcement community. Bedard is sourced by the television, radio and print news industries for expert advice, insight and consultation on media events involving police and corrections.
