Coordination of data change processes for Region 3 (lower North Island) including reviewing of fire district and zone boundaries, appliance response lists and pre determined attendance.Maintenance of the regions’ response data, ensuring consistency of resourcing/response in line with national policy.Development of task force plans for the region ensuring alignment with national procedures.Contribution to the development, maintenance and review of regional Civil Defence Plans, Rural Fire Plans, Fire Protection Agreements and Tactical Plans. Identification of threats to the Region’s continuity and preparation of appropriate contingency plans; developing relationships with stakeholders including councils and local authorities. Provision of advice for risk planning to inform targeted business planning through community intelligence.Liaison with Communications Centres and Area Commanders to review response data and post incident audits, monitoring of corrective actions and implementation of local procedures and improvement initiatives.Coordination of the testing, readiness and effective operation of the Regional Coordination Centre.Provision of cartographical services to Area Commanders and Station Officers in accordance with available GIS layers within NZFS mapping systems.
