Responsible for all aspects of the Process Automation Systems at the Water Treatment facilities in the Upstream APLNG Project. Specific duties include.• Project Manage the design, purchase, construction and testing of all automation system hardware including the Control System Architecture & Network, DCS and RTU Controllers, Marshalling cabinets, Servers, Operator/Engineering Stations, Facility Security and Video Surveillance systems.• Project Manage the Software Detail Design Specification, Software Implementation, Testing and Commissioning.• Interface to all areas of the project and provide input to the process design, the switchroom design and HAZOP studies. Liaising with Facility leads, Consulting Engineers and Major Package Vendors. • Specification of Alarm generation and management, including managing the criticality reviews and documenting the cause/consequence/actions etc.• Ensuring all required Data is adequately stored and reported on the Pi system.

Responsible for all Monitoring and Control systems at 14 Water Treatment Plants, and 6 Dams in the Southern Region of South East Queensland. Specific duties included.• Providing maintenance and engineering support for the various process control systems at Water treatment Plants ranging in size from 0.5Mpd - 180Mpd to ensure water quality and security of supply.• Developing systems and procedures to challenge test all trips and alarms on critical water quality instrumentation. • Separation of the Water Treatment control systems from the regional council assets including control system design, specification, implementation and testing.

Various Engineering, Project and Support roles including• Project Manager/Package Engineer responsible for the delivery of the DCS/SIS systems on the Alcan Gove G3 expansion project. Duties included the Scoping, specification, Tender Clarification, Review, preparing/compiling all design data required by the vendor and facilitating Design approval by the stakeholders. Managing the Construction, Configuration, Factory Acceptance Testing and delivery of the DCS/SIS within budget and schedule constraints. • Assigned as Project Electrical/Instrument Discipline Lead for various capital projects. Duties included developing Project Scope Definition and Execution Plans, Estimation and Feasibility studies. Specification, technical evaluation, selection and purchasing of instrumentation. Preparation of Electrical/Instrument detail design packages including engineering drawings and construction scopes of work, • Assigned as the Control Discipline Lead for various projects. Duties included scoping, estimation and purchasing, Preparation of detail design packages including control functional specification, I/O, Alarm and trip & Interlock lists, Structured Flow charts and SAMA drawings and the configuration and testing of DCS/HMI code.• Configuration of Bailey Infi90 code for the Mill Slurry Heating project at the Gove Alumina refinery. Work included CHAZOP reviews, site code reviews, implementation and integration with existing site code, commissioning, loop tuning and handover.• Configuration of DeltaV code for the Inter-stage Cooling project at the Gove Alumina refinery. Work included CHAZOP reviews, Hardware FAT’s, site code reviews, implementation, commissioning, loop tuning and handover.
