Debug design issues and customer issues utilizing PCIe protocol analyzers from LeCroy and Agilent. Attend PCI SIG Compliance workshops. Diagnostic Engineer. Worked with HP product teams and HP suppliers to develop a set of Common Diagnostic Modules. Responsible for supplier created test content and fault injection tests. Assure test completeness and product team approval.Engineering Manager. Evaluation Test Development (ETD) hardware design group. This group is responsible for creating test boards used to verify new HP products. These test boards provide much of the validation of HP’s enterprise servers, workstations, desktop and notebook products. Established team and individual priorities, goals, schedules and project management. Designs included PCIe Gen1 and Gen2 test cards, Blade Mezzanine PCIe, USB, ExpressCard, Flash Test Card, MiniCard, and other specialized HP testing solutions. The group was responsible for designing, building, testing and distributing several million dollars worth of test boards to HP groups annually. Managed seven electrical engineers and one technician.Electronic Designer. Responsible for performing ASIC, FPGA and board design for test cards used to verify new Hewlett-Packard computer products. Was project leader responsible for designing several test boards for PCI Express, PCI-X and PCI. Wrote Verilog code, created schematics, emulated designs, performed simulation, and synthesized code into Altera and Xilinx FPGA’s and LSI ASIC’s. Used Synopsys Design Compiler for synthesizing code. Used Cadence and Mentor Graphics tools for schematic capture. Show less -
