ARCH 577, Building/InformationWrote and taught ARCH 577, a design media seminar that critically situates BIM in its sociotechnical context. Responsibilities included creating course material and lessons, leading lecture and demonstration sessions, and providing feedback on student work.Designed the course from scratch to respond more directly to the needs of graduate students of architecture, seeking to integrate technical learning of the program with a knowledge of the analytic and synthetic roles it can serve in the design process, as well as the larger changes to architectural production that BIM has driven.

Together with Nicole Sylvia, co-lead the Chandigarh Research Studio study-abroad program examining the dynamics of contemporary urbanization in India. Developed and taught a design studio and two research electives to a group of UBC Masters of Architecture and Masters of Landscape Architecture students in Chandigarh, India.

Founded in early 2017, Contingent is a design and research collaborative engaged in generating speculative projects and proposals for the urban built environment in Metro Vancouver and beyond. Contingent brings together a team of designers with diverse backgrounds, skills, and professional experience—architecture, landscape architecture, environmental design, visual art, engineering, city planning, education, and more. Design and construction documentation on three projects: a childcare centre (Kingsley Estates Child Care), a tenant improvement for a university (Adler University, Vancouver Campus), and a restaurant.

Co-taught the second studio in UBC's undergraduate environmental design program. Led individual and group critiques of student design work, as well as specific instructional sessions on representation and design media.

Collaborated with a team of designers and engineers on the research, design, and construction of digitally-fabricated engineered timber structures, as part of a series of joint projects between the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture and UBC's Centre for Advanced Wood Processing.

Prepared and presented lectures on design and representational media; led class discussions; provided feedback, critique, and advice on student work.

Led a team of students in planning and carrying out the UBC School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture's Introductory Workshop for incoming students. The Intro Workshop is an intensive two-week course for all students entering SALA, meant to introduce the 100+ incoming students (the majority of whom have no previous design education) to UBC, to Vancouver, to the fundamentals of design, and to one another.

Awarded a research grant to study the redevelopment of post-industrial urban waterfronts, in preparation for the next phase of Minneapolis's riverfront redevelopment. Conducted self-directed research specifically focused on the design and implementation of riverfront parks and parkways, investigating case studies in Vancouver, Seattle, and Portland.
