I'm currently leading the low-level development of a new version of a product for a pioneer in verifiable computing. My responsibilities include designing the general low-level systems architecture for executing deterministic WebAssembly tasks, including WebAssembly ports of scripting language interpreters for JavaScript and Python. The work requires a deep understanding of low-level principles, systems engineering, WebAssembly, Web3 technologies, performance coding, and interfacing with the high-level distributed, decentralized system and its consensus-based, blockchain-enabled protocol. Additionally, I'm collaborating with the backend team to integrate low-level features into the product by developing services in Typescript and Node.js.

The research group on quality and safety of railway applications (GICSAFe) runs several works on R&D on behalf of the largest railway operator in Argentina. I joined the group to work on critical electronic system applications foreseeing my PhD proposal. I was involved in developing verification and validation applications, creating products that are now part of the railway infrastructure and general advice by taking advantage of my professional career experience.

The embedul.ar framework allows effortlessly deploying the same application on highly diverse platforms ranging from micro-controllers and desktop PCs to web browsers. The abstraction system enables the detachment of hardware from software to verify, validate and test each domain individually. It uses C17 for low overhead and finer low-level control while still employing object-oriented principles that allow for performing unit testing on the implementations effectively. The framework strongly focuses on reliability and follows MISRA C and CERT-C guidelines. I started development in 2018 and released the first public open-source version in Q3 of 2022. It is now being used in railway IoT products. The FI-UBA master's in embedded systems program utilizes it to avoid course materials' dependence on specific brands/models.

A market leader in web-based remote desktop sharing services needed to develop essential features for an upcoming version of Thinfinity, the company's flagship product. I was in charge of two key features: enabling a high-quality, high-performance desktop sharing experience through real-time video streaming and adding multi-touch input support through the entire system stack. The solutions had to run on several mobile devices using only a web browser.I assumed the following roles:1) Research cutting-edge tools and technologies to enable the required features.2) Analyze, test and harden server-side codebase.3) Research, identify and enforce good programming practices in Javascript and "C".4) Determine performance improvement paths on existing architecture, reporting back to CTO and CEO.5) New features implementation.6) Coordinate integration and testing with backend, frontend developers and tech support.

An important corporation committed to electronic gambling games in Argentina started devising a new generation of distributed, multi-user roulette systems. I was directly involved in deciding the project's C++ object-oriented design and architecture using the latest C++ standards and practices. I was also responsible for implementing the system, managing team efforts and maintaining the automatic building and testing tools. The company designed its electronics, cabinets and art in-house. My role demanded knowledge in those areas to efficiently interact with industrial designers, electronic engineers, graphics artists, and other specialists. The project was a business-critical system; it required special care in the software development process, ran on specialized hardware and needed GLI standards certification.

After taking courses on "C" and advanced "C," I started my self-taught journey into information technology and electronics. Windows API, Linux POSIX, relational databases, 3D and 2D computer graphics, optimization, multithreading, networking, server-side and client-side scripting, etc. Around 2002 I felt confident enough in my technical, communication, and organizational skills and started taking on multiple freelance projects on the international market. I began using online freelance platforms, but ultimately my clients recommended me by word of mouth. The jobs were primarily remote from the USA. During this period, I had my first work on embedded systems by programming ARM7 and ARM9 microcontrollers, and I started employing design patterns and object-oriented paradigms with C++. This freelance period ended when I wanted to be part of a big, interdisciplinary team on a longer-term project.
