Part of the YC Summer 2012, I built the iOS mobile and iPad experiences for NewsBlur, a personal news reader that brings people together to talk about the world.

- Coded XHTML/CSS for Daylife.com and implemented best practices such as semantic markup and XHTML 1.0 transitional validation- Built Daylife widgets utilizing internal APIs, third party APIs, Python and JINJA templates- Analyzed user experience and worked with the design team to come up with inexpensive and elegant solutions within defined project scope- Developed key usability concepts for GettyImages/SmartGalleries product and iterated through wireframes, PSDs and final implementations- Created and maintained Drupal instance for marketing and Wordpress instance for blog- Assisted client services arm in bringing sites from concept to completion by setting deadlines for deliverables, building skins, acting as the technical liaison and training clients to use products- Supervised and trained junior XHTML/CSS developers on best cross browser practices as well as integration of client markup and JavaScript on our hosted platform- Captained stories in a fast-paced agile environment which required coordination of the design, marketing, and tech teams- Audited subversion commits, ran unit tests, participated in overnight releases and supervised quality assurance team
