As a board-certified dermatologist with over 40 years of experience, I am dedicated to advancing the field of dermatology through innovation, education, and patient care. After graduating from Harvard University and earning my medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine, I completed my dermatology training at New York University Medical Center, where I served as Chief Resident. My fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology further honed my expertise in dermatologic and laser surgery.At Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York, where I serve as Director, I lead a team committed to offering state-of-the-art treatments tailored to each patient’s unique needs. My work has contributed to the development of multiple laser systems and therapeutic techniques that are now standard practice worldwide. As a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at NYU Medical Center, I founded its laser program and served for nine years as Chief of Dermatologic and Laser Surgery.I am honored to have received numerous awards, including the Ellet Drake Award and Leon Goldman Award from the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the Samuel J. Stegman Award from the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. My commitment to excellence has been recognized by New York Magazine, which has named me one of New York’s top dermatologists 26 times, and by the New York Times Magazine’s Super Doctors list 17 times. In 2023, I was ranked #4 on Newsweek's list of America's Best Cosmetic Dermatologists.As an active researcher, I have published over 300 manuscripts, chapters, and books, and I continue to speak nationally and internationally on advancements in dermatology. I am also the Chairman of the Board of the New York Stem Cell Foundation and the recipient of the inaugural Vic Narurkar, M.D., Innovations in Aesthetic Dermatology Lectureship Award.My passion lies in providing patients with the highest level of care while pushing the boundaries of what is possible in dermatology.
