I have a broad range of skills across the sector, from initial site acquisition requirements to a deep understanding of client needs and requests. I take an entrepreneurial and innovative approach to developing the best possible solution for my clients. I have experience across all sectors of data centre clients, ranging from colocation through to multiple hyperscale CSP build-to-suit contracts. I understand that every organisation's requirements are different and that there is no such thing as a vanilla data centre solution. I possess a deep knowledge of technologies, their advantages and, more importantly, their disadvantages. I represent an evolving sector with frequently changing technologies. Secretly, I am a frustrated geek and keep my finger on the pulse of data centre trends and emerging technologies.I strongly advocate that the data centre industry has a crucial role in minimising the climate impact of our activities and always present a solution that reduces the effect of any new facility and, importantly, its ongoing operational impacts. I prefer something other than PUE as a key metric as I consider this has morphed into the 'MPG' or 'marketing metric' of the data centre sector... Yes, your car will do 55mph, but let's hope the air con is off, you're not going uphill, and you've been watching your weight. I believe in candour, honesty and knowledge. I hold long-standing client relationships that have followed me as I have developed my data centre career, a testament to the fact that the solutions I represent are always genuinely fit for purpose.
