Mika Röykkee is a seasoned and respected leader in the field of User Experience, with over 30 years of experience. He has hands-on experience with every angle of design from ramping up design activities to helping companies and their customers find success through design thinking. Before joining Helvar, Mika acted as CEO of ED Design Ltd. Earlier, Mika led a digital Service design - & user experience change journey at Basware. There, he worked on service - and user interface design for digital B2B services, leading the company's UI style alignment work, and providing strategic design to support business decision making.Before his career in Basware, Mika managed the user -, competitor – and market research activities for the entire entertainment ecosystem at Rovio Entertainment Ltd. At Teagle Group, he developed cloud services aimed for improving the utilization of customer information and communities. In addition, he has acted as a Service Design Consultant at Solutions Space.Prior to these positions, Mika spent a decade in various positions at Nokia. Starting at Nokia Research Center as a Research Engineer, he soon advanced to the role of Senior Research Manager, with special focus on user centered design in the fields of Augmented - and Virtual Reality, Head-Worn Displays, Wearables and Internet of Things. In 2007, he became the Head of UX Product Management, User Interface and Graphic Design for the Series 60 technology and software platforms at Nokia. Till 2009 he acted as Head of Design Operations at Nokia Meego.
